Through the changing demands of a complex healthcare environment, LewisGale Hospital Montgomery partners with our community to provide quality healthcare and to inform and involve the community in healthcare issues of priority. As a community leader, LewisGale Montgomery entered the Pink Glove Dance to broaden awareness of breast cancer, as well as to create an oppurtunity to build community spirit and support for breast cancer survivors. The involvement of the Marching Virginians from Virginia Tech University, a local elementary school, and local EMS and law enforcement demonstrates our strong community relationship and unfailing support for breast cancer survivors. It takes a village! Through missionary outreach, our hospital has an international relationship with villagers in Cange, Haiti. While on a recent trip, it was important to our nurses to share our pink glove "testimony" with the children of Cange. We hope you enjoy the video, we certainly found inspiration and renewed hospital and community engagement with this celebratory experience.
